Below outlines the options for Cardiac Rehabilitation.



1. FACE TO FACE HOSPITAL PROGRAM

The hospital run 2 different Cardiac rehab program locations – The Queen Elizabeth Hospital or Hampstead Rehab. This program is free through public health.



The Queen Elizabeth Hospital program – next available appt 11/12/25


Includes:

- Pre-and post-program assessment measures

- Weekly education sessions – Monday 10-11am (in-person)

- Tailored group exercise program:6 weeks of twice weekly sessions with a Physiotherapist and Cardiac Nurse. We have two groups – please let us know which one you’d like to join.



Group A:
Monday 9am-11am (1hr exercise + 1hr education session)
AND
Thursday 9am-10am (1hr exercise)

Group B:
Monday 10am-12pm (1hr education session + 1hr exercise)
AND
Thursday 11am-12pm (1hr exercise)

Hampstead Rehab program – next available appt 19/11/25

Includes:
- Pre-and post-program assessment measures
- Weekly education sessions – Monday 10-11am (ONLINE ONLY)
- Tailored group exercise program:6 weeks of twice weekly sessions with an Exercise Physiologist and Cardiac Nurse. We have two groups – please let us know which one you’d like to join.


Group 1:
Monday 1pm-2pm
AND
Wednesday 8:30am-9:30am

Group 2:
Monday 2pm-3pm
AND
Wednesday 10am-11am




The first step if you are interested in joining the Hospital run Cardiac Rehab program is to arrange a face to face assessment with the Cardiac Rehab Nurse.

2. PRIVATE CARDIAC REHAB PROGRAMBodyfit Cardiac Rehab in North Adelaide, https://www.bodyfit.life/services/cardiac-rehabilitation/ These are accessible through either Private Health Insurance or through a GP Care Plan. You are eligible for a GP Care plan which gives you access to 5 Medicare covered services per year for things such as Physio, Exercise Physiology, Dietitian, Podiatry. Speak to your GP about one.
Ashford Hospital – ask us for referral or call (08) 8375 5222 and ask for the Cardiac Rehabilitation Coordinator.
Calvary Adelaide Hospital – ask us for referral or call (08) 8227 6798 and ask for the Outpatient Coordinator.



3. TELEHEALTH EDUCATION PROGRAM

Alternatively if you’d like to do some rehab and can’t make the times for face to face classes, you have the option to join in for remote education sessions via telehealth run every Monday 10-11am (excluding public holidays).

If you simply want to tune in to those, you are very welcome. This roster rotates every 6 weeks and is accessible through the Microsoft Teams link below.

4. ‘MY HEART MY LIFE’ PROGRAM

This is the Heart Foundation’s free support program for people living with heart disease and those who care for them. The program will help you understand how to best manage your condition for a healthier, happier life.
