Getting out and about is an important part of maintaining your independence and well-being. This service helps you get you to medical appointments, community events, and everyday errands like shopping. It may be through a driver service or community bus, or you may receive transport vouchers to cover costs.
This service includes:
- direct transport - with a car and driver provided
- indirect transport - taxi or rideshare service vouchers.
This service does not include:
- general expenses, such as:
- your licence
- the running costs of your car
- public transport costs, or
- travel for holidays.

How can I access this service?
This service can be provided through the Commonwealth Home Support Program, Support at Home, and Transition Care. Your aged care assessor determines your eligibility to access these programs and this service.
