- Got one of these cus I'd heard they help with RSI. It does genuinely seem to help, but also as a chronic fidgeter, I love just using it whenever I've got a hand free. It feels really nice to keep it spinning, although getting it started is a little awkward, and it is a bit noisy if that's a concern for you. Overall really satisfied with it

NishchalReviewed in India on 15 January 20255.0 out of 5 stars good product
works as expected, quality is good, achieves high RPMs easily and provides good resistance.
CMReviewed in Canada on 29 January 20255.0 out of 5 stars it takes time to get used to it. it works.
Pros:
✅ Auto-Start Mechanism – No need for strings to get it going. Just wind it up, release, and it starts spinning smoothly.
✅ Great for Forearm & Grip Strength – After just a few minutes of use, you can feel the burn in your wrists and forearms.
✅ Compact & Portable – Easy to carry around, making it a convenient workout tool anywhere.
✅ Durable Build – Feels solid and well-made, with a smooth spinning motion.
✅ Fun to Use – It’s almost like a fidget toy but with real fitness benefits.
Cons:
❌ Learning Curve – It takes a few tries to get the motion right, especially for beginners.
❌ Lack of Resistance Control – The intensity is based on how fast you spin it, but some might prefer adjustable resistance.
❌ No Digital Counter – Unlike some high-end models, this one doesn’t track revolutions or speed.
shadab ahmedReviewed in the United Arab Emirates on 9 July 20254.0 out of 5 stars Worthy product
Effective and does what it says. Great value at low price.
The LED lights make it slightly childish but its alright.
Joshua S.Reviewed in the United States on 24 March 20255.0 out of 5 stars Way easy to start and it works!
I owned a power ball quite awhile back and “lent” it to a friend. Since I’ve had issues in to outer forearms since my lifting days, I wanted to get another one of these gyro balls. This one works great and is way easier to start up than my older version. I use it three at least three times a day everyday and then take a day off. I could feel the effects from using it all through my upper body (arms, shoulders, back and chest). Wasn’t an uncomfortable burn or anything. I can just tell which muscles were being engaged.
MikeReviewed in the United States on 29 March 20255.0 out of 5 stars An excellent well built exercise tool.
This is an excellent product. I bought two of them and so far I’ve had no issues. It took a day to develop the sensitivity needed to keep the unit rotating. Once spinning it only takes a little bit more effort to really get it spinning and it becomes one tough cookie to hold on to.
Keep in mind this is NOT a perpetual motion machine. If you stop spinning the gyroscopic ball with your finger/wrist/arms it will slow down and stop fairly quickly. It is tricky to get the feel of it however in time you will be doing circle variations, counter circles, figure 8’s, and finger tip rotations. If you hold it with the internal ball upwards it will slow down a lot faster so KEEP THE BALL OPENING DOWN.
A common complaint in reviews is that the wind up gyro starter doesn’t work or breaks. Both of mine have worked just fine. I am assuming that most of the people who have had issues with the wind up starter A.) did not read the instruction paper, B.) failed to hold the ball in place when winding it up, and/or C.) excessively over rotated the starter beyond it’s stopping point. I expect a little common sense would go a long way in resolving these issues.
I am very happy with the purchase and have convinced several other people to buy one. The unit has a quality build and I highly recommend it.

FelixReviewed in Canada on 4 May 20241.0 out of 5 stars Breaks really easily
To wind the ball, you need to push on the small inside ball which I guess winds a spring. However, if you push just a little bit too much, the spring will break and the ball is going to be completely unusable. There is no way to know when to stop winding and so it is really easy to break. Basically used it for 5 minutes before it broke.
Other than that, those 5 minutes were pretty cool. The ball really does resist your movement and strengthen your grip. Would recommend buying a better quality gyro ball.3 people found this helpfulReport

Min LeeReviewed in the United States on 23 May 20241.0 out of 5 stars From long time/former user of NSD Spinners
I've had multiple NSD Spinners including the autostart version as well as heavy metallic variants.
I'm currently recovering from an elbow injury and trying to strengthen my forearm to help with the recovery.
Here is my take as a former NSD Spinner user (can't find the autostart and lost the starting string for the metal version).
Build Quality: Compared to the NSD Spinner, this is noticeably subpar specially with the inner component
Noise: This one makes quite a bit of ruckus when you stop rotating it. I don't know if it's due to the component seeming unpolished or this is normal for this particular model. While it's being rotated there is almost no discernible difference between this and the autostart models of NSD Spinner. Smoothness of the metal one was on a different level
Felt weight/resistance: It's a nice medium between an autostart and metal version
I bought this to start and possibly move up to a different model in the future. I think i will hold up and try to refurbish the metal version of spinner that was left neglected for years
EDIT: Starting to get instances where it can't wind up to start the gyro. Sometime it seems to help when you rotate it manually by hand then reversing it to see if there is felt resistance
EDIT: This thing was making such a ruckus when it get spun up to a decent pace. I went ahead and bought a NSD Spinner. Oh boy what a difference. Skip this garbage and buy the proper spinner. It's a night and day different in the way it spins as well as the lack of noise with NSD spinner. I think i can actually take it to work and spin it in the office without someone from another office across the hall inquiring about it8 people found this helpfulReport
ZizouReviewed in India on 2 April 20235.0 out of 5 stars Excellent exercise tool for tennis elbow.
Great tool for exercising the tendons connected with tennis elbow. The faster you rotate the wrist the more you resistance you get and better the exercise. ( Just need to jump start it once before every session using your thumbs, the instructions are given in the box and are very easy to understand) As a tennis and badminton player myself I will recommend this to everyone who plays these sports regularly. BreeanReviewed in Canada on 29 January 20255.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, Safety Strap Doesn't Last
Love this product for exercising forearms and grip strength. It really helped my sore wrists and has now become a 1 minute addition to my morning exercise. Took me a few days to get the hang of it. At first I thought it was weak and was going to return it since it would only spin for a few seconds before stopping. After watching a few YouTube Gyro Ball tutorial videos it really does work once you get used to starting it up, you just need patience. Trick is a slow, smooth, and steady larger movement as you feel the momentum build up in the gyro. Don't aggressively flail your arm around making it clunk as that means its losing rotational energy. Only issue with the metal model is the hole where the safety strap is attached, with regular use it cuts through the string.

dudeReviewed in the United States on 6 August 20255.0 out of 5 stars It works, but you have to work at it to get it spinning
I saw an infomercial about this Japanese device and was intrigued. It was much cheaper on Amazon, so I ordered one. I have had it for seevral weeks, but I think i just today learned how to get it spun up so that i get some reistance from it. You push this one till the gyro is at it's maximum and then you release it. The key to really getting it wound up is to shake it in your hand like you're throwing a curve ball. So a North South motion rather than East West. This really spins it up so that you can get some significant resistance and improve your arm strength. For the price I thinks it's a great buy and will definetly improve your grip if used reguarly
LouisReviewed in the United States on 21 July 20255.0 out of 5 stars Interesting product
It gets easier to "start" once you get used to it. It is pleasant to use and you can feel where in your forearm and upper arm is getting use. Bought this generally for strengthening the forearm, wrist and hand for general use and for use with guitar/ piano . It is a little fun to use so the only downside is trying to NOT overuse it. More detailed instructions about how often to use and rest in between reps would be appreciated.

Brendan HansenReviewed in the United States on 19 June 20243.0 out of 5 stars So far so good (with a couple minor notes
The Bad:
1. In half a week of consistent use the polished mirror metal finish has worn down where skin contact occurred. (pictures for reference)
1.5 It is to be expected when hand oils are introduced however, it makes me sad that it has changed so rapidly (any advice on restoring/polishing would be apprciated)
2. After a week of consistent use the provided wrist strap broke.
(At the moment this is an iritation and I am currently waiting on an order of wrist straps from amazon)
The Good:
1. I love the heft of the machined steel product and it feels like a good quality item.
2. using the gyro ball is a fun experience and has encouraged me to exercise daily.
Overall:
1. This product has encouraged me to keep a daily exercise routine, even for something as small as rotating my wrists.
2. I feel like the product is a quality machined item (steel variant)
3. I am dissapointed that the wrist strap broke so easily.
4. I have not noticed any amazing grip or muscle benefits yet, after another couple of weeks I'll be sure to update the review.4 people found this helpfulReport

Javier clausenReviewed in the United States on 22 July 20255.0 out of 5 stars Muy bueno

SouthoftheequatorReviewed in Canada on 15 August 20255.0 out of 5 stars Weird but it worked for me.
I bought this for my husband after he broke his scaphoid bone. He didn't use it because I was being a faddist.
Shortly after, I sustained damage to my rotator cuff trying to pick him up off the floor. It took a couple of months but after using this weird thing, I found my arm/shoulder getting stronger and stronger. Not fixed by any means but much better. My physiotherapist thought she would be seeing me for at least 6-9 months for recovery. I was done in 2. This is my own experience, you should consult with your own professionals in your own case. I was lucky

Jeremy PadillaReviewed in the United States on 16 May 20255.0 out of 5 stars I needed this for better grip with firearms.
I need to work on my grip while at the range. And after only a few minutes with this gyro ball, I already FEEL like this is going to help me greatly. Just a few seconds in and I feel the workout from my hand, to my upper chest. Of course that depends on how you're using it but even if you're just fidgeting, it'll give you a good workout. My veins started popping out within about 3 minutes. I'm a righty so doing this with my left hand is a tougher challenge. But now I want to work and practice with that one more. If you're looking for a workout while you're sitting and doing other things, this is what you're looking for. Get it.
DavidReviewed in the United States on 6 June 20254.0 out of 5 stars Works well.
Works well.
Marc C.Reviewed in Canada on 11 June 20243.0 out of 5 stars It's actually made of metal
Bought this to replace an aging powerball I had. This one is nearly twice as heavy(418.1g) compared to my old plastic one (235.6g). Plus I don't need to use a cord anymore to get it going. That's great. It really work out that forearm and grip strength. Less good if what you want is rehabilitation, there's a very noticeable difference between metal and plastic. Though you can always spin it slowly.
With a magnet, I confirmed it is certainly a ferrous metal. Though the shell has a lower concentration of iron than the inner "ball". The magnet barely sticks to the shell while it sticks quite well to the ball.
It takes a bit longer to get it going when compared to the plastic ones. You have to gradually get the speed up, or else it won't work.
The finish on the outside is not perfect, might be a good idea to polish it a bit more to remove tiny scuffs that catches in the skin. They aren't enough to hurt you, just slightly annoy as you handle the ball.
Overall, I'm satisfied. Will see how long it last. My old plastic one lasted for years.
Edit : It broke after two days. It doesn't spin up anymore and it feels like something is loose when trying to spin it up.2 people found this helpfulReport

KreativeKatReviewed in the United States on 4 December 20244.0 out of 5 stars Still going on strong after more than 2 years of use.
I got this to strengthen grip and forearm muscles after a surgery I had over 2 years ago and it is still working and going on strong (as you can see in the video).
ALWAYS wear the included strap/lanyard on your wrist to avoid dropping it/having it fall.
It is quite easy to use. You regulate yourself the speed you want to use it at according to your preference and capacity/ability. It is more about rhythm and syncing your movements with the gyroscopic movement, than about speed or strength. It is not necessary to grip it too strongly unless you get it up quite fast and hold it for several minutes, because then your muscles will tire and you will have to grip it harder to maintain control.2 people found this helpfulReport
S. BurnsReviewed in the United States on 21 May 20255.0 out of 5 stars Same brand my physical therapists use
I broke my right wrist severely and had it surgically rebuilt, with a plate, earlier this year. At physical therapy, this brand of gyro ball is used regularly, so I picked one up for home use. They're a bit tricky to get the hang of at first, particularly when my grip strength is still a fraction of normal, but it's been great in helping to rebuild strength and stability. It is used daily and seems to be holding up fine. When you're done, just don't let go of it until it comes to a complete stop.
